For the managers and stakeholders who shape your software without writing it: how to think about security risks and ask developers for the right things.

Overview

Many people contribute to the development of an application who are not involved in coding the software. We teach managers and other non-developers how to think about security risks and work with developers to specify security requirements as part of the software development process.

Topics

  • Thinking about security risks in software projects
  • Specifying security requirements with your developers
  • Cybersecurity project management
  • Preventing a data breach through secure software development

For a taste of how we approach security requirements, read What is an Abuser Story (Software): a user story written from the point of view of a malicious adversary, which defines what your software must block.

How It Works

Our hybrid format is the most affordable option and fits around busy calendars:

  1. We develop your content. We build the presentation around who will attend, the decisions they make about your software, and the topics that matter most to your organization, starting from what we learn on the scoping call.
  2. We record the presentation. Your managers and stakeholders watch it at their own pace.
  3. A 1 to 2 hour live workshop, remote. Everyone brings their questions, and we work through them together for your organization’s real projects.

Other Formats

  • Remote live session: your whole group together in real time, from a Cybersecurity Project Management lunch-and-learn to a longer workshop. This costs more than hybrid.
  • In person: we fly out to you for an on-site session. This is the most expensive option.

What Your Team Receives

  • A presentation developed for your organization, recorded for the hybrid format.
  • The live workshop or session, in the format you choose.
  • Quizzes and completion certificates your staff can use toward contractual training obligations.

Experience

We teach secure software project management to teams at Fortune 500 firms, and we have worked with other training companies, including Pluralsight, to deliver training in their customers’ organizations.

Pricing

Pricing depends on how many people attend and the format you choose, and is quoted after the scoping call. The hybrid format is the most affordable; remote live and in-person sessions cost more.

Request a Scoping Call

Tell us about your team, and we will schedule a free 30-minute scoping call to confirm scope. Pricing is quoted after that call, and nothing is invoiced before it. Fields marked with are required.
