Dependency, container, and static analysis scanning wired into your CI/CD build with open source tools like Trivy and OWASP Dependency-Check.

Overview

Every build your team runs is a chance to catch a known vulnerability before it reaches production. A secure CI/CD pipeline runs dependency, container, and static analysis scanning on every change, and stops the build when it finds something that shouldn’t ship. Software supply chain failures are the third entry in the OWASP Top 10:2025, A03 Software Supply Chain Failures, and the build pipeline is where you can check for them automatically.

What This Solution Covers

We wire security scanning into your existing build, in your own repositories and CI/CD platform, such as GitHub Actions or GitLab CI, and agree with you on what should fail a build and what should only warn. It is one part of our vulnerability management and remediation solutions:

The Scanners

We use mainstream open source scanners where your stack fits them. They run in your pipeline, on your code, and stay with you after the engagement:

  • bundler-audit checks a Ruby application’s locked gem versions against published advisories.
  • Brakeman is a static analysis security scanner for Ruby on Rails applications.
  • OWASP Dependency-Check finds publicly disclosed vulnerabilities in a project’s dependencies, including Java applications.
  • Trivy scans container images and project files for known vulnerabilities, including the operating system packages inside your Docker images and Python dependencies for Django applications.

Languages and Frameworks

We set up scanning for whatever your application is built on, backend and frontend. bundler-audit and Brakeman cover Ruby on Rails, OWASP Dependency-Check covers Java and other ecosystems, and Trivy reads the dependency files of most mainstream languages, including Python, Node.js, Go, PHP, and .NET, as well as the operating system packages inside your Docker images. If your stack needs a different scanner, we will find the right open source one with you.

Request a Scoping Call

Tell us about your build pipeline, and we will schedule a free 30-minute scoping call to confirm scope. Pricing is quoted after that call, and nothing is invoiced before it. Fields marked with are required.
