When you visit the Website, your requests first pass through Cloudflare, which protects the Website against attacks and abusive traffic, and are then served by our hosting provider, Netlify. Both act as data processors on our behalf and collect log data, for example: the type of browser and operating system you are using, the address of the external or internal page that referred you, your IP address and pages on the site that you visit in association with your IP address. We mostly use this information to diagnose issues with the site. We may retain it for up to ninety days.

5. We collect information when you submit a form on this website

When you submit a form on this Website, such as our contact form or our ADA/WCAG document accessibility audit request form, the information you enter passes through Cloudflare, as described above, and is received and stored by Netlify, the hosting provider for this Website. Netlify processes form submissions as a data processor on our behalf, and Rietta remains responsible for that information as the data controller. Netlify checks every form submission for spam using Akismet, a third-party spam detection service, as described in Netlify’s form spam filtering documentation.

We use the information you submit only to respond to your request, and for an audit request, to verify your agency, scope the audit, and prepare the agreement and invoice. Netlify sends each submission to us by e-mail, delivered through Google Workspace, our e-mail provider. We retain form submissions the same way we retain other direct communications with us, as described above.

It is generally our policy not to share or sell your personally identifiable information with any third party. We may, however, share information under the following circumstances:

If we receive your informed consent;
If it is necessary for a third party provider to perform tasks on our behalf (as described in this policy);
If we believe doing so is reasonably necessary to comply with a law, regulation, or valid legal process. If we are going to release your information, we will do our best to provide you with notice in advance, if we have a means to contact you, unless we are prohibited by court order from doing so; or
